Stay True to Yourself

But my idea of success is different today.And as you grow, you'll realise the definition of success changes. For many ofyou, today, success is being able to hold down 20 shots of tequila. For me, themost important thing in your life is to live your life with integrity, and notto give into peer pressure; to try to be something that you're not. To liveyour life as an honest and compassionate person; to contribute in some way. Soto conclude my conclusion: follow your Passion, stay true to yourself. Neverfollow anyone else's path, unless you're in the woods and you're lost and yousee a path, and by all means you should follow that. Don't give advice, it willcome back and bite you in the ass. Don't take anyone's advice. So my advice toyou is to be true to yourself and everything will be fine.

And I know that a lot of you are concernedabout your future, but there's no need to worry. The economy is booming, thejob market is wide open, the planet is just fine It's gonna be great. You'vealready survived a hurricane What else can happen to you? And as I mentionedbefore, some of the most devastating things that happen to you will teach youthe most. And now you know the right questions to ask in your first jobinterview. Like, "Is it above sea level?". So to conclude my conclusionthat I've previously concluded, in the common cement speech, I guess what I'mtrying to say is life is like one big Mardi Gras. But instead of showing yourboobs, show people your brain, and if they like what they see, you'll have morebeads than you know what to do with. And you'll be drunk, most of the time.

Feelings, Failure and Finding Happiness

The world has so many lessons to teach you.I consider the world, this Earth, to be like a school and our life theclassrooms. And sometimes here in this Planet Earth school the lessons oftencome dressed up as detours or roadblocks. And sometimes as full-blown crises.And the secret I've learned to getting ahead is being open to the lessons,lessons from the grandest university of all, that is, the universe itself. It'sbeing able to walk through life eager and open to self-improvement and thatwhich is going to best help you evolve, because that's really why we're here,to evolve as human beings. To grow into more of ourselves, always moving to thenext level of understanding, the next level of compassion and growth.

 這個(gè)世界將教會(huì)你們很多。我認(rèn)為這個(gè)世界，這個(gè)地球，就像一所學(xué)校，而我們的人生就像是教室。在世界這所大學(xué)里，有些課程會(huì)是人生的彎路或障礙，有些課程則充滿危機(jī)。而我所學(xué)到的應(yīng)對(duì)這一切的私、訣就是:勇于面對(duì)一切挫折與危機(jī)，世界本身就是世上最好的大學(xué)。在人生的旅途中，妥對(duì)生活充滿激情，并不斷提高自我，這就是進(jìn)化為人類(lèi)并存在于世的意義。不斷提升自我，去追求人生的更高境界，去追求更高級(jí)別的憐憫和自我提高。

Ithink about one of the greatestcompliments I've ever received: I interviewed with a reporter when I was firststarting out in Chicago. And then many years later, I saw the same reporter.And she said to me, "You know what? You really haven't changed. You've justbecome more of yourself."

And, trust me, I know that innerwisdom is more precious than wealth. The more you spend it, the more you gain.
