（失去希望，可以用fall這個(gè)動(dòng)詞，形象）

（非謂語(yǔ)動(dòng)詞）

2.You Rise me up

（1）詞末輔音+詞首元音的連讀

如：when I 讀為 [nai]

More than I 讀為 [nai]

（2）字尾元音+字首元音，加入[w]或[j]

首先，在詞尾以 [u:] 等接元音時(shí)可以加 [w]

如：so I can stand on mountains 讀為 [wai]

其次，在詞尾以 [i:] [ai] [ei] 等接元音時(shí)可以加 [j]

如：me up

另外，摩擦音[r]與其后面的首元音連讀

如：wait here in the silence 讀為 [rin]

有時(shí)單詞詞尾的輔音連綴可以和后面的某個(gè)元音開(kāi)頭的單詞形成一種新的濁化現(xiàn)象。

如：Sit awhile 讀為 [dail]

要聽(tīng)懂這些特殊的發(fā)音，就要先會(huì)讀，所以讀熟歌詞練習(xí)發(fā)音技巧是相當(dāng)有效的。

另外，這首歌里有些用詞也是值得學(xué)習(xí)的。

（1）down : low in spirits; depressed(情緒低落的，沮喪的)；如：I am feeling down today. (我今天情緒低落。)

（2）still: free from disturbance, agitation, or commotion (安寧的，不受干擾的)

（3）more than I can be: more than 在這里相當(dāng)于over (超過(guò)，超越)；如I love you more than I can say. (愛(ài)你在心口難開(kāi)。)

（4） raise up: 原指lift (舉起)，不過(guò)在這里用其connotation: encourage or inspire.

（5）Sit awhile: sit for a while or moment

（6）burdened: bearing a heavy burden of work or difficulties or responsibilities
